South African athlete, Oscar Pistorius, has returned to court for a second day of sentencing hearing.
Pistorius faces up to 15 years in prison for killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
His lawyers are fighting to have the courts indict him with a lesser sentence.
Appearing on the defence stand on Monday, a probation officer said that Pistorius should only serve house arrest with 16 hours community service a month, a call that has angered the prosecutors.
Testimony is now being heard about Pistorius’s charitable work, which prosecutors have been trying to downplay.
The hearings will last for several days before the paralympic sprinter will eventually learn of his fate.
Pistorius shot Steenkamp through a bathroom door last year.
He was charged with culpable homicide, but was cleared of murder.
