Vivid photographs and video of the havoc wreaked on Offa in Kwara State by armed robbers on Thursday have emerged.
The robbers, who operated for over one hour, were said to have arrived at about 4:35pm and operated till well after 5:30pm.
Numbering about 15, the robbers were said to have arrived in several vehicles, but fled on motorcycles they violently took from their owners.
Not less than 17 persons, including policemen, were killed by the robbers who raided the banks in the town.
They first sacked the police station in the area before commencing their operation.
The state Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
