Photographs have surfaced on the internet alluding to the fact that late singer and Big Brother Africa star, Goldie Harvey, was not single before she died.
The wedding took place at the Chapel Of Christ The Light (Interdenominational), Alausa, Lagos.
Though the date of the wedding could not be confirmed as at press time, the man who posted the photographs gave his name as Andrew Harvey.
It could also not be confirmed if the marriage was still intact as at the time she died.
But many people knew Harvey was married until she passed on.
This was more so based on her conduct in the Big Brother Africa house where she dated a Kenyan, Prezzo.
Indeed, there were also reports on Friday that Prezzo was in Nigeria on Thursday, Valentine’s Day, shortly after the artist passed on, to present her an engagement ring.
Even her record label, Kennis Music, in its statement on the artist’s death, did not allude to her married status.
It did not recognize her husband in the list of those who survived her.
Update:
Fresh information pieced together by The Eagle Online has it that Harvey, a Briton, married Goldie (nee Filani) in 2006.
The parents of Goldie (Mr. and late Mrs. Olabisi Filani) and those of Harvey were at the marriage ceremony.
The marriage did not produce any child before both of them drifted apart.
Harvey, who was not comfortable with the wild life style of Goldie, reportedly bowed out of the marriage unceremoniously.
And since then, the late artiste has been parading herself as a single lady though she still used her husband’s name till her death.
