The photographs of the just released students of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe has emerged.
The students were pictured inside and outside the vehicle that was used to pick them up after their release.
The students are Pelumi Philips, Farouq Yusuf, Isiaq Rahmon, Adebayo George, Judah Agbausi and Peter Jonah.
According to available information, there are plans to move the students to Abuja through the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos State on Friday (today).
Though The Eagle Online could not get any official confirmation, there were indications that they would be meeting with the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, who had a few days ago vowed they would be freed in a matter of days.
However, as at press time, the students were yet to get to Lagos.
For the Lagos State Government, the students are to undergo medical examination to ascertain the state of their health.
This was contained in a statement by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Steve Ayorinde, on Friday.
Ayorinde said: “This is a welcome development and the State Government has always believed that the students would be released unhurt. The news of their release is therefore a confirmation of that belief and we are glad that they would be reuniting with their families.”
