Procter & Gamble has dissociated itself from the story of a man dragged to court for duping the company and its clients of N20 million, Emmanuel Chigozie Eze, a substantial part of which he said was spent on sports betting.
The company issued the disclaimer on Thursday in a statement.
P&G said it is in no was connected with the story as Eze is not an employee of the company.
It said: “Emmanuel Chigozie Eze is not an employee of P&G and has never been an employee of Procter & Gamble Nigeria. There is absolutely no connection between the incident and the reported individual’s actions, with P&G.
“In view of this, P&G strongly advises that Nigerians beware of this spurious claim and publications. The general public should discountenance this falsehood in its entirety.”
