The ongoing meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Presidential Villa, Abuja is on break now.
The meeting is to elect a new chairman for the BOT.
Highly tipped to emerge the chairman of the BOT is a former Minister of Works, Chief Tony Anenih.
Anenih has the backing of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
Meanwhile, crisis ridden Nigerian Governors’ Forum has fixed May 2013 for the election of a new chairman.
The tenure of the incumbent Chairman of the NGF and Governor of Rivers State, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, is to end in April 2013.
The governors announced this at the end of their meeting in Abuja on Monday evening.
The forum became split on Sunday with the emergence of another body, the PDP Governors’ Forum.
The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Barrister Godswill Akpabio, is the chairman of the PDPGF.
