The Peoples Democratic Party Youth Integrity Group has congratulated the National Publicity secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, who was bestowed with the “Most Honoured Guest” of the year award on Saturday in recognition of his outstanding contributions towards the development of Okunland by Ogidi community in Kogi State.
In a congratulatory message signed by the National Coordinator of the group, Olayinka Samuel, the group described the award to Ologbondiyan as well deserved following his distinguished contribution and human development as never witnessed before in the history of Okunland.
The statement said: “This is one of many honors deserving of a man, who has continued to live a life of selfless service, a life worthy of emulation. Kola Ologbondiyan is the friend of the youths, a companion and listening ear to the elderly and the vehicle of social engineering and development to his community.
“Congratulations to humility personified and a quintessential gentleman.
“The aggressive way you have also marketed the ‘PDP Rebranding’ concept both national and state levels, has not only changed the media and public narratives but it has repositioned the party to regain power come 2019.
“While we acknowledge that there is still more work to be done, as there would always be, we are glad that Ologbondiyan has taken PDP image on an upward trajectory.”
The PYIG also acknowledged Ologbondiyan as a party man and a committed chieftain of the PDP, who has been moving round the state wooing new members to join and restoring peace among the differing views and in the party.
It said: “We thank Oba Rabiu O. Sule the Ologidi of Ogidi and the entire good people of Ogidi community for counting Kola Ologbondiyan worthy of the Award saying it would spur him to be more committed to selfless service to his people.
