The Peoples Democratic Party will hold an emergency National Executive Committee meeting on Tuesday morning (today).
The agenda of the meeting is not yet known.
A source, who is a member of the party’s NEC, told The Eagle Online that notice of the meeting came less than 24 hours.
He said this stresses the urgency of the meeting and the agenda.
The Board of Trustees of the party met on Monday, with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who had tendered the notice of his resignation as the chairman of the Board, attending.
This was said to have shocked members of the BOT.
But the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Bamanga Tukur, was quoted to have said he was not aware of Obasanjo’s resignation.
Tukur is said to be favourably dispossed to Obasanjo continuing as the chairman of the BOT.
