PDP group demands conduct of LG poll in Oyo

A group within the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State, the PDP Synergy League, has called on the Oyo State Government to immediately conduct election for the local government areas in the state.

The group said that the victory of the party in the federal constituency election conducted in the state was a true reflection of the wishes of the people of the state.
The statement, signed on behalf of the group by Dotun Oyelade, said the conduct of the local government area election was the only way to establish genuine democracy in Oyo State.
