No fewer than 15 governors loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan have arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The governors are expected to join President Jonathan for a meeting with some of the aggrieved governors of their party, the Peoples Democratic Party.
Some of the governors are those Abia, Kebbi, Kogi, Katsina, Bauchi, Plateau, Enugu, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Ebonyi, Kaduna and Taraba States.
As earlier reported by The Eagle Online, the pro-Jonathan governors had met at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Obong Godswill Akpabio, is the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum.
Those who arrived before the pro-Jonathan governors included three of the aggrieved governors.
They are Dr. Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, Mallam Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State and Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State.
Wamakko and Kwankwaso had earlier defected to the All Progressives Congress.
Aliyu dissociated himself from the move.
Apart from the governors, others attending the meeting and who have already arrived are the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PDP, Tony Anenih; and the National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.
