The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday appointed caretaker committees for Adamawa and Ebonyi States chapters of the party whose executive committees were dissolved on Tuesday.
The party, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, pointed out that the Adamawa State caretaker committee has Ambassador Umar El Gash as Chairman, while Senator Zik Sunday will act as Secretary.
For Ebonyi State, the party named Dr. Ifeanyi Onodugo as chairman, with Chinwe Mba as Secretary.
The party said that it will not hesitate to discipline any individual or organ that might decide to constitute unlawful disorder in the process of the ongoing primaries and party administration.
The statement by Metuh said: “Also, the party will not tolerate any publication of any list or result of any primary election, comments or publication of disputes.
“The NWC expects that our members will use the proper channel of official communication of the party to address their misgivings.”
