The Federal Government has begun the payment of the third and final tranche of the Paris Club refunds to State.
However, nine States will not be getting their share now for various reasons, including overpayment during the first two tranche received.
The states that are to wait include Delta, Ogun and Adamawa.
The other 27 States have been paid their share of the refund alongside their receivables from the Federation Account as shared by the Federation Account Allocation Committee on Saturday.
President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that the funds be used for the payment of December salary so as to enable workers have a blissful yuletide.
The Director Home Finance in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Olubunmi Siyanbola, on Saturday confirmed the payment.
The confirmation was made by Siyanbola at the end of the FAAC meeting in Abuja.
She, however, did not name the states that were paid and those that are to wait.
