The police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two persons engaging in vote buying in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.
According to information available on the Twitter handle of the Nigeria Police, the men were arrested in Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State.
In the photographs, the men were seen with a lot of cash and a bag of rice with the inscription: Senator Isiaka Adeleke free rice.
Adeleke is the candidate of the Social Democratic Party for the election.
The police put the cash with the suspects at N604,000, adding: “Investigation is being intensified.”
