Former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osaba, has been praised for his philanthropist gesture, particularly to his mother’s home town, Odo-Owa in Kwara State.
The Owa Oloota-in-Council in a goodwill message to the family of Aremo Osoba on the 20th year remembrance of his mother, Chief Elizabeth Remilekun Osoba, the Yeyeoba of Odo-Owa, commended Aremo Osoba for his steadfastness, love and courage displayed in his service to the Odo-Owa Community.
The message, signed by the Owa Oloota of Odo-Owa, Oba Joshua Oluwatoba Adeyemi Adimula, on behalf of all sons and daughters of Odo-Owa, described Yeyeoba Osoba as a true daughter and a crusader who had contributed greatly to the development of the town during her lifetime.
Oba Adeyemi Adimula, who prayed for long life in good health and prosperity for Aremo Osoba and all the grandchildren of the late Yeyeoba, reminded the former governor of the need to complete the ongoing Odo-Owa town hall project named in memory of the late Yeyeoba to immortalize her for the positive roles in developing the town.
The Royal Father used the opportunity to appeal to the people of Kwara State and Nigerians to continue to pray and support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State to succeed in the task of governance.
He commended Governor Ahmed for his effort at developing the State, particularly at the grassroots, and also eulogized the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, for his quality leadership at the red chamber.
Oba Adimula also noted that the quality leadership provided by the State Traditional Institution under the headship of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, had made the State to witness rapid socio-economic development in all areas of human endeavour.
