Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has written to Google Global Service Nigeria Limited requesting for the removal or suspension of a defamatory broadcast on the account of RootTV of Nigeria on the platform of Youtube.
The request by Osinbajo was contained in a letter written by his lawyer, Femi Atoyebi and Co dated September 25, 2019, addressed to the Managing Director of the Company.
According to the letter: “Our client therefore demand apology that you immediately remove and suspend the publication broadcast of the defamatory publication on the account of RootTV Nigeria on the platform of Ytube. Please note that if Google fails, refuses, neglects to remove the publication immediately, we will be compelled to consider legal option open to our client.
