The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), is expected to lead local and international eggheads to discuss entrepreneurship in a developing economy at an international conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
This was contained in statement signed by a former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, who is the President of Beta Sigma Fraternity, organisers of the event, on Thursday in Abuja.
The statement said former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would chair the conference, while the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefele, would deliver the keynote paper at the occasion.
It added that the event would also feature at least four serving ministers with the FCT Minister, Bello Mohammed, as the Chief Host.
The statement said the conference intended to explore the role that all parties could play to battle with economic downturn arising from the fall in the international price of crude oil.
It said: “Entrepreneurship and different models of engagement with organised private sector and individuals would be discussed to chart a new pathway to prosperity in Nigeria outside the complete dependence on crude oil.
“The goals of the conference would include but not limited to help raise public awareness about the role of entrepreneurs in economic development of nations.”
