Lille manager Christophe Galtier has suggested that Victor Osimhen is ready to remain at the French club for at least another campaign.
Having contributed 15 goals in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season, the 21-year-old is being linked with a number of European football’s top clubs.
However, despite alleged interest from Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona, Galtier has claimed that the Nigerian’s exit is far from a foregone conclusion.
Galtier was quoted by Afriquesports as saying: “Victor said he wanted to stay here next season. He is a sincere boy, he is happy here. He is well appreciated and adored by the fans.
“Then, if in a few weeks big teams arrive with an interest in him, he will have to listen. That’s the logic of things.”
Osimhen still has over four years remaining on his contract at Lille.
