Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has congratulated the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on his 70th birthday.
In a letter to Daddy General Overseer, as he is fondly called, Oshiomhole said: “On behalf of the people and Government of Edo State, I am pleased to felicitate with you on your 70th birthday celebration.
“This is an occasion to celebration the life and accomplishments of an outstanding personality, who has given his all to God and to country. As a Minister and a leader of the Christian Faith, you have brought salvation to millions of people across the world through your direct ministrations and through thousands of ministers under your anointing.
“Today, the Redeemed Christian Church of God has grown into an international institution, motivating and driving the expansion of the Christian faith to all corners of the world, in line with your vision. In Nigeria, the RCCG has become a frontline component of the Body of Christ on the strength of clear vision, aggressive evangelisation, inspiring and motivational leadership and above all, your divine anointing. The nation owes so much to the fervent and spiritual intercession of your Ministry through the regular Holy Ghost Congresses and other activities of the Redeemed Church.
“Similarly, as an elder statesman, your voice carries great weight on critical national issues. In particular, you have significantly helped to sensitise and embolden Nigerians with your admonition on the need to defend their votes.
“My family and I also have great cause to especially appreciate your fatherly support. I would foever remain thankful for your prayers and visit to my wife during her illness and for your goodwill, including monetary support, towards the wedding of my daughters.
“We pray that our Heavenly Father will continue to bless you and enrich your anointing. We also pray that God should continue to preserve your life and nourish you with the best of health, so that you can render even more services to humanity.”
