Nigerian international, Osaze Odemwingie was stretched off in Stoke City’s shocking one nil win over Premier League Champions, Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday.
The forward who had only entered the match at half-time, came down awkwardly after launching a cross just after the hour mark, buckling his knee. He was eventually stretched off a couple of minutes later.
Compatriot Victor Moses started the game but was also substituted late on after making a very timely tackle as City pressured the Stoke defense.
It was his first game for the Potters in the Premier League since he made his loan switch from Chelsea last week.
Both players were not invited for the Super Eagles’ pair of 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo and South Africa next weekend.
