The Senate has cancelled its plan to convene an emergency plenary on Tuesday over the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.
The Clerk of the Senate, Nelson Ayewoh, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
Ayewoh, who did not give reasons for the cancellation, said the scheduled date of resumption of plenary fixed for Tuesday, February 19 remained.
He said: “This is to inform all Distinguished senators of the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that the resumption in Plenary Scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 29, has been cancelled.”
