As earlier projected, the candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in the Ondo State governorship election, Olusola Oke, has been declared the winner of the poll in Ilaje Local Government Area.
Oke hails from the area.
He defeated his two main rivals in the poll, Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress and Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party.
While Oke scored 22,789 votes, Akeredolu coasted home with 7,030 and Jegede had 5,007 votes.
With the win, Oke has won in two local government areas.
This is the same number of local government areas won by Jegede, while Akeredolu took 14 local government areas.
