A former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, Remi Olatubora, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the October 10, 2020 governorship election in the state.
The PDP remains the main opposition party to the All Progressives Congress, which has presented the incumbent, Rotimi Akeredolu, as its candidate for the governorship poll.
The legal luminary, from Omi-Iyansan Ward in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State, submitted his resignation letter from the PDP to his Ward Chairman, Apostle A. Medunoye, on Saturday.
This is coming less than 24 hours after a governorship aspirant on the platform of the PDP, Banji Okunomo, also dumped the party for the Zenith Labour Party.
