SC Lazio of Italy midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, MON, has set his sights on winning the Confederation Cup slated for Brazil in June.
Onazi plans to add this to his silverware after assisting Lazio to beat star-studded Roma by 1-0 in the Coppa Italia final.
He also played a vital role in the Super Eagles win at the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South África.
Onazi told The Eagle Online on Thursday from the Super Eagles camp in Houston, Texas, United States of America ahead of Friday’s friendly against Mexico: “I thank God for the grace.
“I also want to thank all my fans, friends for their prayers and support all these while.
“I believe it’s time to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians again.
“So, another medal is around the corner by his grace.”
Onazi is expected to return to Super Eagles line up against the El-tri of Mexico in a friendly, which kicks off at 2am (Nigerian time) on Saturday but 8pm American time on Friday.
