A former Deputy Governor of the old Ondo State, late Chief Akin Omoboriowo, is to be buried on May 3 and 4, 2012.
Omoboriowo, who died on April 10, 2012, as a result of complications from prostrate cancer, will be buried in his hometown, Ijero-Ejiti, Ekiti State.
A family source told The Eagle Online that the remains of Omoboriowo would be interred in his family compound in Ijero-Ekiti on May 4.
A wake would precede the burial on May 3, also in the family compound.
It was gathered that while some members of the family opted for a grand burail that would have taken a longer time to plan, others opted for the May 3 and 4, 2012 dates because of the state of Omoboriowo’s wife.
She is said not to have recovered from the shock of losing her husband.
The plan, sources said, is to fly her out of the country once the burial is over.
