Earlier on Monday, the protest had been on Ikorodu Road in the main.
Eyewitnesses said the commercial motorcycle riders were attacking tricycle riders and other commercial bus drivers, following their refusal to join them in the protest.
A source told The Eagle Online: “Okada riders were on rampage and were fighting one another and they were fighting keke NAPEP rider for their refusal to join them.
“They were saying that the keke NAPEP riders are suppose to join them in solidarity.
“The okada riders were chanting slogans abusing Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola and they were using stones and other dangerous weapons to fight.”
It was, however, observed that major routes in the state were free of vehicular traffic as okada riders were not plying the routes.
It was observed that at Ikeja, Opebi, Oba Akran, GRA Ikeja, Ogba and environ, that there was no sight of okada riders.
When contacted, the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, said policemen have been deployed to quell the protest.

“I cannot confirm to you now if anybody was injured or the number of vehicles vandalised.
“The command would like to warn any policeman not to use this opportunity to extort or harass any commercial motorcycle rider in the state.”
