Hundreds of party faithful of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who were loyalists of the former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun in Ijebu-North Local Government have now been received to All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Secretary to Ogun State Government, Tokunbo Talabi.
Receiving the loyalists in company with Talabi were former Deputy Governors in the State, Senator Gbenga Kaka and Prince Segun Adesegun.
Talabi said, “You’ll all agree with me that your return home is inevitable after your group had been formally received to the fold by the governor in Abeokuta. We are glad to have you back and we want you to know that it is time to work together and no longer at cross purposes”.
The SSG urged the party faithful to receive them with open arm, that it was high time the party in Ijebu-North was repositioned to become more virile.

He urged “the returnees must be immediately integrated into the APC fold in the scheme of things for better efficiency. Everyone must know that their loyalty now is only to one person, the leader of the party, who is the Governor”.
On their parts, the Former Deputy Governors, Prince Segun Adesegun and Senator Gbenga Kaka commended the SSG for facilitating the meeting, saying it was time the party in the area be solidified and repositioned to win elections landslide.
The Former ADC Chairman in Ijebu-North, who spoke on behalf of the returnees said their return was inevitable as there was no better watershed than the APC–led government of Prince Dapo Abiodun, saying that they have come not only to be part of the party or contend but to add value to what the other members have been doing.
The Chairman of APC Ijebu-North Local Government, Mosun Olafipupo welcomed the new party members, having returned home, noting that they must not only be seen to be loyal but acting so, with the charge to existing members to accommodate them and shun any act of hostility.
