Controversy has beset the ongoing local government areas election in Ogun State.
This is as the ruling party in the state, the Action Congress of Nigeria, and the Peoples Democratic Party are trading accusations of rigging.
The ACN has accused the PDP of massive rigging of the poll and the use of the military to intimidate voters.
But the PDP has said it is the other way round.
Reports have it that in Atan, Ijebu North East Local Government Area, there is a massive protest against ballot box snatching.
Soldiers are reported to be shooting indiscriminately.
An unconfirmed report has it that two persons have been shot dead by the soldiers and numerous others injured.
The PDP is claiming that its agents were locked out while votes were being counted in the area.
But the ACN is insisting that it is the PDP perpetrating the rigging, with the party’s alleged thugs accused as being behind the snatching of ballot boxes.
