Lawmakers of the Ogun State House of Assembly have resolved their face-off, with an apology to the citizens of the state and Nigerians in general.
The lawmakers, who met on Wednesday morning, resolved to put behind them the ugly incidence of Tuesday that led to the destruction of the mace.
The Speaker, Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, who is at the forefront of the crisis, and his main opponent, who was declared speaker on Tuesday, Hon. Remmy Hazzan, said they were now set to work together for the betterment of the people of the state.
The peace meeting, held at the seat of power in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, was put together by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa.
Other members of the Assembly were equally at the early morning meeting on Wednesday.
