The Technical Adviser of Warri Wolves, Solomon Ogbeide, has assured the teeming fans of the Warri, Delta State-based club that they will get it right after losing in a controversial manner to Sharks Football Club in Port Harcourt, Rivers State last week.
According to the Media Officer of the Club, Etu Moses, Ogbeide has told the players to put the loss behind them and focus on the next match.
The Former Akwa United gaffer expressed happiness with the way the players responded to the defeat, declaring that it is the end that matters and not the way you start.
Ogbeide, who was visibly angry with the level of officiating after the match, vowed to get it right as the season progresses.
He was quoted as saying: “It was our first match and an away one for that matter.
“I was happy with the way the players responded and from the look of things, vengeance was on their mind.
“I want to assure all our fans that there is no cause for alarm.
“We have learnt our lesson from the first match.
“The officiating was not in our favour but we will surely get it right.
“I have the boys that can deliver and they are roaring to go.”
Ogbeide also declared that medical doctors are working on Assistant Captain, Uche Ossai, who sustained injury in the match against Sharks but said they have a good replacement
Speaking on Goalkeeper Okiemute Odah, who was absent in that match, Ogbeide said his papers came late for him to be selected but stressed that it was a good thing to have four good goalkeepers.
“The Doctors are working on Uche Ossai who sustained injury in that match while, Okiemute Odah’s papers came late for him to be available but I am happy that I have four good goalkeepers and any of them could be in goal,” Ogbeide said.
