Out of favour Super Eagles striker, Chinedu Obasi, was on target as Schalke 04 pelted fifth-tier side, TSV 1860 Rosenheim, 11-1 in a pre-season friendly.
Obasi opened the floodgate of goals with a strike in the second minute from kick off.
Ghana’s midfielder, Kevin-Prince Boateng, was in full-time action for Schalke 04, who went goal crazy.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Schalke pre-season training earlier this week, was started by manager, Jens Keller, and he lasted the entire duration of the match.
Max Meyer, Choupo-Moting and Höger joined Obasi on the scorers’ chart to register a record win for Schalke.
During recess, the Nigerian was substituted as an entirely new squad was introduce by manager Keller but Boateng was retained on the pitch to play for the entire 90 minutes of the game.
