The election of the chairman of the Board of trustees of the Peoples democratic Party started at about 8:30pm in Abuja on Tuesday.
But, conspicuously missing at the meeting is former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
In attendance at the meeting being held at the Presidential Villa are President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark and Speaker of the House of Representatives Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Others include Jim Nwobodo, Obong Victor Attah, Richard Akinjide, Josephine Anenih, Olabode George, Emmanuel Nwanyanwu, Ibrahim Mantu, Tony Anehnih, Bamanga Tukur, Ken Nnamani, Sen Walid Jibrin, Musa Babayo, Haliru Bello Mohammed, Dalhatu Tafida, Kema Chikwe, Bode Olajumoke, David Jemibewon, Don Etiebet, Ebenezer Babatope, Vincent Ogbulafor, Ambassador Hassan Adamu, Hon. Patricia Etteh, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, General Muhammadu Magoro, Alex Ekwueme, Ahmadu Ali and wife, Maryam.
