Six persons have been arrested in connection with the crisis that occurred in Obalende area of Lagos State between the National Union of Road Transport Workers and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria on Thursday.
According to the spokesman of the Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, six persons were arrested in connection with the crisis in which various weapons, including Gus, were used.
Adejobi said preliminary investigation showed that no life was lost, while the six suspected hoodlums have been handed over to state CID, Panti, Yaba for discreet Investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, has warned that the command will not condone any act of lawlessness and criminality in the state.
Odumosu directed the Area Commander, Area A, Lion Building, ACP Bode Ojajuni, to intensify efforts on flushing the hoodlums out of the area and on the Lagos Island in general, with the available recourses deployed to the area command.
Adejobi said leaders of transport unions in the area have been invited for interrogation and further actions.
