Oba of Benin’s daughter weds

It was a gathering of royalty and who is who at the wedding ceremony between Princess Oze Erediauwa and Mr. Sylvester Ebhodaghe yesterday at the headquarters of Love World Assembly, Christ Embassy, in Benin City.
Oze, daughter of His Royal Majesty, Oba of Benin, Omo n’Oba Erediauwa, CFR, was the cynosure of all eyes as the Crown Prince of Benin Kingdom, Ambassador Ekpenede Erediauwa, representing the royal father, led the bride to the altar and handed her to the groom for the wedding vows.

Regional Pastor of the Ministry, Pastor Tom Amenokha, who preached on the occasion, urged the congregation to imbibe the virtues and patience of Christ even as they make Christ the pillar of their home and marriage.
He said: “When you continue to be in Christ, who has always been your foundation, the storm will come, but because Christ is your foundation, you will never be shaken.”
Urging the congregation to always be good to humanity, he added: “Someone asked me the other  day why wicked people live long and refuse to die? And I said it’s because God is giving them a long rope to repent. But if they refuse to repent and die in their sins, then the hottest part of hell will be reserved for them.
“That is why on this occasion I will give give kudos to my Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
A few years ago, before he became Governor, Edo State was like an abandoned project site, but today Edo State is alive and working again.
“There is a new breath of fresh air. I am not a politician, I am not in the Peoples Democratic Party or the Action Congress of Nigeria. I am in Jesus Party and it is because I am in Jesus party that I see the truth and say the truth.
“Oshiomhole is working. Oshiomhole has worked and Edo is working again. So Comrade Governor, I thank you very, very much. When the Comrade Governor came up, I thought he only knew how to talk, but now we know he talks and does.”
The wedding reception later shifted to the Oba Palace ground where guests were treated to a royal luncheon.
Chairman of the reception and Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, urged the couple to always imbibe the virtues of patience.
Uduaghan said couples who have been married for years are still learning new things in marriage, but with patience, love and understanding, the couple will overcome all obstacles.
Among the dignitaries at the royal wedding were Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State; Governor Victor Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State; Governor Emmanue Uduaghan of Delta State; Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State (represented); Prof Dora Akunyili,former Minister of Information; Mr. Frank Nweke, former Minister of Information; royal fathers; state commissioners; among other dignitaries.
