The agent of Kelechi Nwakali, a Nigerian youngster whose brother, Chidiebere, is on Manchester City’s books, claims Chelsea have discussed a possible deal to sign the teenager.
Klay Ekeocha has contacted a number of clubs, including City, Arsenal and West Ham, about the player since Nwakali impressed at the Under-17 World Cup.
And Ekeocha has told the Nigerian media that Chelsea have shown an interest.
“We are in contact with Chelsea, Udinese and Olympiakos,” he has been quoted as saying.
He added: “City and West Ham are no longer involved because of work permit issues. We got in touch with Arsenal and there’s no feedback yet.”
