After two rounds of matches, defending champions, Kano Pillars, now top the log in the Professional Football League.
This followed their 1-0 win over Bayelsa United on Wednesday.
The result means Kano Pillars maintain a 100 per cent start to this season’s campaign.
Apart from the Kano Pillars versus Bayelsa United game, three other Week 2 matches took place in Gombe, Ilorin and Maiduguri.
El-Kanemi Warriors and Wikki Tourists fired blank in Maiduguri under tight security in the day’s early kickoff, which began from 3pm local time.
The champions, without influential striker, Gambo Mohammed, and midfielder, Gabriel Reuben, both on international duty with Nigeria, struggled to break Bayelsa United, managed by ex-Kano Pillars coach, Ladan Bosso.
