The city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State will once again come alive on Saturday, as Sharks tackle their local and eternal rivals, Dolphins Football Club, at the Sharks Stadium in one of the Week 5 ties of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Sharks, known as the Blue Angels, got the better of their opponents with a draw at home and an outright win away to Dolphins.
The Gbenga Ogunbote lads also went ahead to win the Rivers State FA Cup at the expense of Dolphins.
Both teams have made new signings with goalkeeper Moses Ocheje joining Dolphins, while Sharks also secured the services of former Sunshine Stars of Akure danger man, Ibrahim Ajani, and ex-3SC of Ibadan shot stopper, Olaide Okanlawon.
Sharks, skippered by Odinga O. Odinga, began the league on a promising note and are currently placed third with seven points, while Dolphins are distant ninth with four points on the log.
In other league games on Sunday, Abia Warriors will slug it out with Kano Pillars, Bayelsa United will try El-Kanemi Warriors for size, Crown FC battles Gombe United, FC Taraba lock horn with Enyimba, Heartland will welcome Nasarawa United to Owerri, Lobi Stars will square up with Kaduna United, Rangers will entertain Sunshine Stars at Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu, while Warri Wolves will engage new league entrant Giwa FC at Warri City Stadium.
