The Actors Guild of Nigeria, led by its President, Ibinabo Fiberesima, have concluded plans to screen several Nollywood films that made impact in the past.
This films, we learnt, will be screened during the celebration of Nollywood at 20, starting from April 27.
The AGN president said that the event was coming after President Goodluck jonathan had celebrated the anniversary with practitioners.
Fiberesima said: “Mr. President recognised Nollywood’s contribution to Nigeria’s economy in addition to rebranding of the country’s image, youth empowerment and employment.
“Nollywood wants to celebrate 20 years of motion picture revolution.
“This grand celebration will show case our people, pride and culture.”
The programme will kick off with a stars parade, to be followed by a mini documentary presentation showing the best of Nollywood films and insight into Nollywood at 20.
There will be an interactive session with the press and invited guests.
It will also feature raffle draws and corporate social responsibility activities such as coaching clinics, visits, social work, fundraising and donations to the less privileged.
