On Monday at the O’jez Restaurant and Bar, tucked inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State, hordes of Nollywood stars and movie practitioners gathered to pay tribute to late veteran actor, Justus Esiri.
The Nollywood stars, who were led by notable acts like Olu Jacobs, Recheal Oniga, Ramsey Nouah, Kate Henshaw, Zik Zulu Okafor and Andy Amenechi, took turns in eulogizing the late actor.
Notably present was the deceased’s popular son, Sidney Esiri, better known as Dr Sid.
National and state executives of the Actors Guild OF Nigeria, Mahmood Ali Balogun, Jude Orhora, Dickson Iroegbu, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Rita Dominic, Monalisa Chinda, Teco Benson, Emem Isong, Uduak Isong, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey, Femi Ogedengbe, Desmond Elliot, Ernest Obi, Julius Agwu, Chioma Chukwuka Apotha, Ini Edo, Tunji Bamishigbin, Sunny McDon, Adaora Ukoh and Fidelis Duker were among those present at the nite of tributes.
Henshaw, who thrilled colleagues alongside Apotha and Okonkwo, noted that the night was to celebrate and eulogize the late actor for his achievements and laudable contributions to the Nigerian movie industry.
