NAHCON says it has not left out any Nigerian pilgrim in its transportation to Saudi Arabia except those who may have missed their flights due to their own carelessness.
It’s Commissioner, Operations, Abdullahi Modibo, told newsmen on Saturday in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, that all pilgrims were transported through either state agencies or tour operators.
Modibo said: “Reports that 17,000 pilgrims are stranded is false, unfortunate and irresponsible.
“No state has up to 10 pilgrims left behind.
“We have brought all the pilgrims and no one is left in Nigeria except those who missed their flights due to carelessness and this is normal.”
Meanwhile, hundreds of Nigerian pilgrims would begin movement to Mina tents where they are expected to continue the Hajj rites.
They will spend the night in Minna in sober reflection and prayers, preparatory to their departure in the early hours of the following day to Mount Arafah, a granite hill on the plains of Arafah, located 20 kilometres to the east Makkah and referred to as the Mount of Mercy (Jabal ar-Rahmah).
