The Chief Imam of Lighthouse Estate Mosque, Lekki, Lagos, Nojeem Jimoh, said no hajj operations all over the world is without hitches and glitches just as he commended National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON) for a job well done.
This is contained in a statement the Chief Imam personally signed.
According to Imam Jimoh, “hajj operation is no without hitches and glitches and, even those of us who have done hajj from Europe would testify to this.”
The Lighthouse Estate Mosque Chief Imam stated further that “my last hajj was from the United Kingdom and l recall half of us in the small group of 20 vowing never to have anything to do with the agent again.
I thought the agent did his best and wasn’t in control of certain variables.”
Imam Jimoh, who is also an intending pilgrim waiting to be airlifted to the holy land, said he had cause to relate with three members of staff of NAHCON, namely Omowabi, Mudrah Ishola and Gaffar Odunola in his request for information regarding airlift of pilgrims.
“While I’m yet to meet any of the three in person- only talking with them on phone, the level of courtesies displayed each time I had an engagement with them is something not so common in Nigeria.
“I wouldn’t know if the consistency of the courtesies is due to training from the organization or the individuals but as someone who wouldn’t keep quiet if l experience or perceive a bad treatment, I think it’s only fair and just that l equally acknowledge the high level of customer care l have experienced from these individuals. “
He stated further that “indeed, the call that woke me up this morning was from Mudrah and it was simply to tell me the commission was doing everything to get our flight ready in the shortest time. This puts my mind at rest and I commend the commission and these individual staff for this.”
It would be recalled that NAHCON chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, on several occasions assured intending pilgrims that all registered pilgrims would be airlifted to Saudi Arabia.
