The representative of Kano South Senatorial District, Senator Kawu Sumaila, who was elected on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, has defected to the All Progressives Congress.
The former member of the House of Representatives had in May 2022 dumped the APC for NNPP shortly after the formation of the party.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Sumaila, who also served as Senior Special Assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly matters, announced his return to the ruling party.
He wrote: “Yes, it is true — the rumours regarding my defection are accurate.
