The Nigeria National League (NNL) on Tuesday announced November 27 to 29 as the new dates for the Super Four tournament.
This was contained in a statement posted by Lawrence Katken, Secretary General of the league, on the Nigeria Football Federation website.
Katken noted that the event, earlier scheduled for November 18 to 20, was adjusted to allow participating clubs prepare adequately.
He said: “We received complaints from the clubs involved asking for extension of time to enable them to get ready and we saw the need to oblige them.
“It is okay for the NNL; we are still committed to organising a befitting Super Four tournament for our league.
“We planned to round off the season before the Annual General Assembly of the NFF, which will now hold in the month of December.”
NAN reports that the tournament, which marks the end of the 2014/2015 NNL season, is to determine the over-all champions in the abridged four-division format of the League.
The qualified teams for the Super Four are Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, Plateau United FC of Jos, Ikorodu United FC of Lagos and Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC, Lagos.
All teams are expected to arrive in Abuja on November 26.
