The Technical Adviser of Remo Stars Football Club of Ogun, Fatai Osho, on Tuesday in Abuja said his club was targeting a return to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Remo Stars FC defeated Osun United FC 1-0 in match one of Group B2 of the fixture of 2017/2018 Bet9ja of the Nigeria National League which started on Saturday at Osogbo Township Stadium in Osun.
Osho told NAN that his team would work hard to regain its place in NPFL.
He said: “Our plan is like any other team in the league, it will not be different because we are now playing in NNL, our target is to get our place back in Nigeria Professional Football League.
“I believe that we have had the best of preparation and ultimately we want to return to NPFL because we believe that is where we belong.
“We have strengthened our team for the 2018 Bet9ja NNL; we will fight hard to win all games at home and away. ”
NAN reports that Remo Stars FC, also known as the Sky Blue Stars, will meet Stationery Stores FC of Lagos in Match Day 2 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Saturday.
