At the meeting of Njiko Igbo held in London on January 9, 2013, which was presided over by its National Co-ordinator, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Engineer Victor Ihezie, emerged as the chairman of the United Kingdom chapter.
Ihezie defeated four other candidates.
Barrister Kenny Chukwuma was elected as the Secretary, defeating two other contestants.
Accepting the challenge to serve, Ihezie thanked everybody for the honour and asked for the unity of Igbos all over the world towards the actualisation of the Igbo dream of producing Nigeria’s president in 2015.
Ihezie tasked Kalu and other Igbo leaders to work together for the actualization of the objectives of Njiko Igbo.
He said allegros share in such a dream.
Chukwuma said he was convinced that Igbos will embrace Njiko Igbo, adding that Igbo’s unity must be now and not tomorrow.
