Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted thunderstorms and rains for Thursday.
NiMet’s weather outlook on Wednesday in Abuja predicted cloudy condition for Northern states with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Katsina and Kano axis in the morning hours.
It further predicted thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Potiskum, Dutse and Nguru axis in the afternoon/evening hours with day and night temperatures of 32 to 34 degree Celsius and 23 to 24 degree Celsius respectively.
“For Central states, cloudy conditions are expected with prospect of thunderstorms over Abuja, Lokoja, Makurdi, Lafia and Ibi axis in the morning hours.
“There are prospect of thunderstorms/rains over the region during the afternoon/evening period with day and night temperature of 26 to 32 degree Celsius and 17 to 24 degree Celsius respectively,“ it said.
The agency envisaged thunderstorms and rains over the western part of Southern states in the morning with prospects of thunderstorms and rains over the eastern part of the region and the coast in the afternoon.
According to NiMet, day and night temperatures are expected to be 30 to 32 degree Celsius and 20 to 22 degree Celsius.
