The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over the central States of the country on Monday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Sunday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 28 to 37 and 10 to 20 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that the southern States would experience partly cloudy sky over the inland states and early morning mist/fog conditions over coastal cities during the afternoon and evening hours.
It also predicted localised rain showers over Southern Benin, Warri, Yenegoa, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and its environs during the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures in the range of 32 to 37 and 20 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, Northern States will experience sunny and hazy condition throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 34 and 11 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
NiMet predicted: “Improvements in horizontal visibility over the northern and central states are likely while the inland cities are anticipated to experience partly cloudy sky.
“The coastal areas should witness misty and foggy mornings with chances of isolated rain showers within the next 24 hours.”
