The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted party cloudy to cloudy weather conditions over the central States of the county on Thursday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Wednesday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 and 17 to 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The agency also predicted that the southern States would experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning with day and night temperatures in the range of 36 to 40 and 23 to 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
It also predicted that localised rain was envisaged over Ibadan, Abakaliki, Ijebu Ode, Akure, Enugu, Owerri, Ado-Ekiti and Lagos during the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, Northern States will experience sunny and hazy conditions throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the range of 36 to 40 and 12 to 20 degrees Celsius respectively.
NiMet predicted: “Sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the Northern cities.
“There are indications of increased influx of south westerly wind into the country which will favor cloud formation and chances of localised thunderstorms over the southern region within the next 24 hours.”
