The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted dust haze weather conditions with visibility range of about two to five kilometres over the central States of the county on Monday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Sunday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 25 to 36 and 9 to 20 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that the southern States would experience sunny and hazy conditions over the inland cities with early morning mist/ fog patches over some coastal cities like Uyo, Benin, Calabar, Yenagoa and Port-Harcourt.
It also predicted cloudy skies over the coastal cities with chances of localised showers over Calabar, Eket, Port-Harcourt and Yenagoa with day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 37 and 19 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, Northern States will experience dust haze conditions with visibility range of one to three kilometres over the north central to north eastern states with day and night temperatures in the range of 28 to 32 and 10 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
NiMet predicted: “There will also be moderate dust haze with visibility range of two to five kilometres over the north western cities of Yelwa and Sokoto and their environs throughout the forecast period.
“Dust haze conditions are probable over most parts of the country; however, rain showers/thunderstorms are likely over some parts of the southeast coast within the next 24 hours.”
