Nigeria/Uganda Friendly: We are here to learn from Nigeria, Uganda Coach

The head coach of the Ugandan national team, Milutin Sredojevic, said on Tuesday that his team wanted to learn from an experienced side like Nigeria as part of its rebuilding process.
Sredojevic told the News Agency of Nigeria in Uyo that the international friendly against the Super Eagles was a learning process for his team.
He said: “For 37 years, Uganda has not qualified for the African Cup of Nations.
“The last time Uganda played was in Ghana in 1978.
“In the last three editions, we have come so close and we wonder if anything is running away from us.”
Sredojevic said the Ugandans had set a four-year target to rebuild their national team, also known as the Cranes, and wanted to start with Nigeria.
He said: “If you really want to do something in your life, you need to have education.
“We have come to educate ourselves in the power house of African football in Nigeria.
“We know you have very talented players.
“We are very grateful and privileged to play against your team.”
The coach said Nigeria had the potential of regrouping itself after missing out on the qualification of some Nations cup tournaments.
He said Nigeria would be a major contender for the 2017 Nations cup given her pedigree and quality players.
Sredojevic commended the Nigeria Football Federation for accepting to play the Ugandans and the warm hospitality accorded the delegation since their arrival for the game.
