Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri has qualified for the quarterfinals of the singles table tennis event at the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympics.
This will be the first time any African will be getting to that stage of the competition at the Olympics.
Quadri balled Timo Boll of Germany out of the Olympics with a 10-12, 10-12, 5-11, 11-3, 11-5, 9-11.
Quadri will battle World number one, Ma Long of China, in the quarterfinals.
